Moonlit Battlegrounds: The Black Bulls of Black Clover

By admin

Moonlit Magic Black Clover is a popular anime and manga series created by Yuki Tabata. It is set in a world where magic is everything and revolves around the story of Asta and Yuno, two orphaned boys who were left at a church on the same day. While Yuno is a prodigy with immense magical abilities, Asta is a rare case in this world as he possesses no magic at all. Despite this, Asta's determination and resolve push him to become the next Wizard King. The anime series follows the adventures of Asta and Yuno as they join the Clover Kingdom's Magic Knights to fulfill their dreams. The Magic Knights are a group of skilled wizards who protect the kingdom from various threats.

As for the magic type, it is quite overpowered considering that the devil only needed to speak to get things done, i.e., he even had the ability to create things out of nothing.

Every person in the anime s universe is known to possess magic and uses the same for purposes ranging from menial labor to something as significant as protecting the kingdom. Light Magic, possessed by the Eye of the Midnight Sun leader Patry, the First Wizard King Lumiere Silvamillion Clover, and Nacht s brother Morgen Faust, is arguably one of the fastest magic types in Black Clover.

The Magic Knights are a group of skilled wizards who protect the kingdom from various threats. Asta and Yuno aim to become Magic Knights of the highest order, the Royal Knights, and eventually Asta dreams of becoming the Wizard King. Throughout the series, the concept of moonlit magic is highlighted as a rare and powerful phenomenon that occurs during a full moon.

Black Clover is NOT lightspeed!

But a concept has been brought up in Black Clover, which is True Magic.

True magic generates real magic of the given nature.

i.e. the magic that the magicians in Black Clover generally generate is NOT real element.

For ex, Luck while using true lightning magic, is now actual lightning speed-

Real lightning will never travel at speed greater than that of lightning. Logic!

This lightning speed Luck here is way faster than he was before, it only means he was never lightning speed before and was way below it.

Even the devil Megicula (who's supposed to be scaled FTL+) got speed blitz by true lightning magic-

Means that devils were never lightning speed.

And true magic is possible for every elemental magic-

Same can be said for light magic too.

Light magic is not real light, thus it cannot be considered light-speed. Its also shown various times, for ex, here, Yami slicing Light thrown by Licht-

But some time later-

"He got faster!" Didn't know light also had variable speed lol.

If it was actual light-magic, then the speed of light wouldn't have changed at all. Only proves further that light magic is not light-speed.

Again light being further accelerated-

Just means it was never lightspeed.

Again a claimed lightspeed attack, which is even faster than the previous claimed lightspeed attack (claimed by BC fans)-

Black Clover logic: different lightspeed attacks are at different speeds!!

There are more proofs-

1. Asta being able to dodge Gauche's laser(even in sleep)-

but not being able to react to Licht's attack-

super-inconsistent, isn't it?

A similar example would be Yami-

He could easily fend off Licht's attack-

But can't react to Rhya just few next chapter-

how could you react to claimed lightspeed attacks, but not react to Rhya? Super inconsistent again.

And you guys must surely have noticed (specially BC fans)-

Let me phrase this question:

How can a guy, who wasn't able to intercept Rhya's fast movement, can claim it lightspeed? So apparently, the speed you can't react to = lightspeed. WOW!!

Yami can't react to light magic, he was only able to intercept it using ki-

I will further also prove why Yami reacting to light magic is super inconsistent and bullshit.

Also, Gauche here-

> I couldn't see it

> that was lightspeed.

Can a guy who can't even react to lightspeed claim it be lightspeed?

You might have noticed, all the folks who claim it to be lightspeed are the ones who can't intercept it.

Did we ever get confirmation from the light magic user himself, that his attacks are lightspeed? NO!!

Licht himself never said his attacks are lightspeed, and neither did Rhya, nor did first wizard king.

2. Time-interval of battle- Asta & Yami VS Dante

You can read the battle in chapter 259.

Asta & Yami along with Dante traded like 9 to 10 hits, and 42 seconds were already over. "FTL battle lmao!"

Finally 8 seconds are remaining-

Well let's see this FTL battle of 8 seconds look like-

5 seconds are over!!

Time remaining: 3 seconds

2 seconds are over!

Time remaining: 1 sec

This whole battle, according to BC wankers is FTL, but in reality, it doesn't even look mach 5.

3. Licht not being able to go to his destination in seconds-

Licht has to travel, from Hage to the big rock near Clover Castle, but hasn't reached yet.

This is the map from chapter 368 page 1.

He started his journey in chapter 166 page 9-

It has been nearly 20 pages, from chapter 166 to chapter 168, and claimed "lightspeed" Licht hasn't reached yet. WOW!!

Not enough convincing?

4. The first wizard king himself uses light magic-

While this^^ seems rather fast, but its definitely not lightspeed.

"OOOOAAGH!! Sealing magic, inverse release. Huh? Thank you, magic knight of the present. Wait there for your companion' return!"

It would probably take 8 seconds of time-interval for you to say the lines above, as depicted in the manga.

Its not a lightspeed feat if it takes them 8 seconds for all this, unless someone argues that characters in Black Clover talk at FTL speed.

Still not convinced yet?

5. Remember Julius saying this?-

Light magic (which is not even actual light) is faster than Julius, and Julius needs to accelerate time in order to intercept it. Means anyone slower than Julius should NOT be able to intercept it.

Yami is not Julius' level, even with ki + mana zone-

that's right, its super inconsistent of Yami dodging light, that is supposed to be faster than Julius.

6. Gauche teleported to save Yami before the claimed "lightspeed" attack could hit him-

so now gauche teleports at FTL+ speed?

And claimed lightspeed Licht can't even dodge his claimed lightspeed laser-

While "Moonlit Magic Black Clover" had some redeeming qualities, it ultimately fell flat for me. The writing style was decent, and there were moments of potential in the plot.
