I loved the ELF Bite Size eyeshadow palettes as soon as they were released a few years ago, so today, we’re going to be doing a little review with swatches of the marvels the super affordable Bite Size palettes are.
I already talked about them in guides to the best blue eyeshadow palettes, pink eyeshadow palettes, and green eyeshadow palettes, simply because despite their super low price, they really pack on a punch.
I’ve always kind of been attracted to the ELF eyeshadow palettes.
The brand used to have many kinds of different palettes; the most famous being the ELF rose gold eyeshadow palette, and their matte eyeshadow palette for every day.
To the best of my knowledge, they’re still available for purchase, but the Bite Size eyeshadow palettes are on a whole other level.
When I used to do makeup on photoshoots, I’d often take them with me, especially the Hot Jalapeno palette, because it has green eyeshadows inside that I’ve never seen anywhere else (even in Juvia’s Place palettes).
Between the first and the second lockdown in 2020, I was browsing the Internet on a quest for completely blue and totally green eyeshadow palettes. I knew very well that I only wanted the Melt Cosmetics Smoke Sessions palette.
That, in terms of green eyeshadow palettes, is a standard I did not want to get away from but I didn’t want to cash out a fifty when the full-size ELF eyeshadow palettes are a tenner at most.
And especially when we know just how often I reach out for my makeup these days – which is almost never, except when I want to enjoy swatches.
At some point, I came across ELF palettes that the brand released for spring a few years ago called Bite-Size palettes.
Those are makeup products that you can easily get from BeautyBay, from Target, or from Superdrug or Boots in the UK and that retail for a teeny tiny £3.

The color was not as vibrant as I expected it to be, and it didn't have the same intensity as other black eyeshadows I have tried. The formula also felt quite powdery and didn't blend easily on my eyelids. Overall, I wouldn't repurchase this product.

It also didn't stay in place and smudged easily throughout the day. I expected better quality from Elf and this product was a letdown.
