The Mystery of Bojji's Spell: Is it finally removed?

Bojji no Jutsu – Ousama Ranking Ep 14 Review

Bojji and Hiling finally make up, while the Knights of the Underworld clean up Ouken’s mess. This is a review and discussion for Ousama Ranking Episode 14.

Oh, my heart feels so full after watching this episode.

I don’t even know where to really begin – but I am glad Bojji and Hiling made up.

It’s also nice that Kage revealed to Hiling that Bojji can understand Kage due to reading lips, and that Bojji has been able to ‘hear’ what they have been saying the entire time – even if he can’t ‘communicate’ back to them them ‘properly’ without using sign language.

The weird tension and misunderstandings putting a stranglehold on Bojji and Hiling’s relationship seemingly vanished once she saw his strength.

Plus – Bojji got a new retainer out of the situation!

And of course, Queen Hiling all in his corner.

This is great, considering where we started weeks ago in this story.

We could add Bosse and Daida into the mix, but I’ll leave them out for now.

Speaking of Daida – that flashback of the village on fire really messed with me!

Here I was thinking that Bosse refused to leave jail and help Hiling out, but came down to town just to show up Bojji. Then we got Daida’s overdramatized expression, and Bosse’s body in the flesh carrying a huge basin of water.

Daida blushes, approving of his father’s strength while simultaneously “looking down” on the weakness of his brother.

What’s really interesting here though, is that Bosse was still sick. He coughed up blood and tried to hide it from the surrounding audience of his heroic kingly deed…but I’m wondering if that had to do with the terms of his demonic agreement?

After all, in most stories the demon tricks the wish-maker in some way, shape, or form. Why on earth would the demon wait around for Bosse to live a long and healthy life before consuming his soul?

The story already introduced the laws of alchemy with Miranjo last week, so it would make sense that despite Bosse ‘sacrificing’ Bojji’s strength, he would still somehow ‘sacrifice’ his own health, as well.

In this same vein, we see that Daida got some of Bosse’s giant strength.

Daida inherited some of King Bosse’s strength. But, what did he inherit from his mother, Hiling? From Ranking of Kings Ep 14

Although I wonder if it’s actually some of Bojji’s strength that’s been parted onto him due to the nature of the deal. Despite this – maybe Daida’s inherited abilities from Hiling have to do with, well, ‘healing’.

Which is why Daida is sitting and talking to child Miranjo, and why Hiling could hear him despite Bosse’s will imposed on his body – Daida has some sort of light ability, or magic.

I know that sounds a little half-baked right now, but if Desha can coordinate a literal lightning strike just by learning coordinates from his brother while speaking through their hands almost telepathically…anything is possible in this show.

I wonder if the narrative is now alluding to Miranjo possibly gaining a form of immortality, or a fusion of the soul. Given light of Ouken’s situation, it seems like the “true” him was lost long ago. Which may explain Desha’s desire to “go to war” with Bosse’s kingdom out of a ‘divine’ punishment for dabbling with magic he should not have, which threatens both of their kingdoms.

Maybe Miranjou’s current form is the embodiment of the ‘divine hermaphrodite’ – a sort of rebis resulting from a great work, or ritualistic spell. After all, I think it was a little boy Miranjo was running through the forest with in the opening sequence.

A male, a female, unlimited power…

But again, who really knows?

I’m excited to see what happens next week.

1. Jane Doe - 1/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Does bojji have his spell removed". The plot felt extremely rushed and the character development was non-existent. It seemed like the story just jumped from one event to another without any depth or explanation. Additionally, the animation quality was below average and it made it difficult for me to connect with the characters on an emotional level. I was hoping for a gripping and exciting story, but unfortunately, this anime fell short in every aspect.

2. John Smith - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for "Does bojji have his spell removed" but it ultimately left me unsatisfied. The pacing was all over the place, leaving little time for the audience to truly understand the characters and their motivations. The plot twists were predictable and the dialogue felt forced and cliché. The animation style was average at best, and I found myself losing interest halfway through the series. Overall, I don't think I can recommend this anime to anyone looking for a well-rounded and engaging story.

3. Mary Johnson - 2/5 stars - I couldn't get into "Does bojji have his spell removed". The premise seemed interesting, but the execution fell flat for me. The main character's development was lackluster and some of the side characters were forgettable. The action scenes were poorly choreographed, making them hard to follow and lacking in intensity. The story felt disjointed and there were plot holes that were never addressed. Overall, I found this anime to be underwhelming and I would not watch it again.

The story was confusing, filled with unnecessary plotlines and poorly explained supernatural elements. The animation felt outdated and the character designs were uninteresting. The voice acting was subpar, making it hard for me to connect with the characters. Overall, I found this anime to be a complete waste of time and I would not recommend it to anyone.

5. Sarah Thompson - 1/5 stars - "Does bojji have his spell removed" was a complete letdown. The pacing was incredibly slow, with little happening in each episode. The characters lacked depth and their motivations were unclear. The animation quality was poor, with choppy movements and lack of attention to detail. The plot felt disjointed and it was difficult to understand what was happening at times. Overall, this anime was a disappointment and I would not recommend it to any viewer.
