Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is a manga series based on the video game of the same name. It is written and illustrated by Kou Sasakura and published by Akita Shoten. The manga was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Champion magazine from 2005 to 2006. The story follows the protagonist, Hector, a former Devil Forgemaster, who seeks revenge against his former comrade, Isaac. Hector's fiancée, Rosaly, was killed by Isaac, which prompts Hector to embark on a journey to defeat him. Along the way, Hector encounters various allies and enemies, each with their own motivations and agendas.

All the shifting back and forth weaves together to make a beautiful picture with a singular theme to move forward from trauma, one must look toward their unchangeable past and clear-eyed into an uncertain future. This volume of Spy Family sets a stark contrast to previous entries, even forgoing its usual chair motif to show young Loid perched on war-torn debris.
Along the way, Hector encounters various allies and enemies, each with their own motivations and agendas. Together, they navigate the dangerous world of Castlevania to uncover the truth and find redemption. The artwork in Curse of Darkness is detailed and fits the dark, gothic themes of the Castlevania series.

- Mark - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with Castlevania Curse of Darkness manga. I felt like the story was all over the place and I had a hard time connecting with the characters. The artwork was decent, but it couldn't make up for the lackluster plot. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this manga to fans of the series.
