L’Oreal Paris Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer

A light infusing primer for instant illumination and enlightened complexion.

L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer is a unique liquid light formula that blends seamlessly into the skin to boost its liveliness and luminosity. Texture is smoothed and toned for a natural-looking complexion. Use the primer with L’Oreal True Match Lumi foundation and powder highlighter for an added boost of luminosity. This primer is suitable for all skin types, dermatologist tested and non-comedogenic.

  • Use it alone for a supple, dewy look.
  • Mix it with a foundation for an all over radiant finish.
  • OR dab it on key areas as a highlighter.

I found that a little goes a long way with this primer – 1 generous pump is plenty (at least for me). It can look a bit like a shiny metallic finish if applied too much. That being said, the primer goes on smoothly and doesn’t leave a sticky feel.

I do like the subtle glow it gives when worn alone. When mixed with foundation, it gives the foundation that missing radiance. Although a little goes a long way, when using it as a highlighter, it is easily buildable to your preference in how glowy you want it to be.

Overall, this is a great primer and I love the fact that it can be used in multiple ways. Best of all, this primer goes on smoothly and keeps makeup staying on throughout the day without looking too greasy or shiny.

What are your thoughts on L’Oreal Paris Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer? How would you wear this primer – alone, mix with foundation, as a highlighter? What do you look for when it comes to makeup primers – luminosity, hydrating, mattifying, etc?

It leaves your skin nice a glowy. I guess I should've thought of that when I put it on.. I have oily skin so you can imagine how ?glowy? I looked. Best for dry skin i just ended up putting it on areas where I would normally use highlight

I love it. I mix some with a tinted moisturizer or foundation and use a damp beauty blender and apply.

I don't feel as though I notice any big difference in my makeup with or without this primer, though it has become part of my makeup routine. It also leaves a sticky residue on my fingers so I always have to rub my fingers on a makeup wipe. I suppose that for a more fair complexion this highlighter would work great, but for me, not so much.

Sounds like it's more of a highlighter, Which is something I've been trying to decide on which one to purchase forever! In the case of being a highlighter I'm seeing some pretty good reviews. I'm a little curious on this one maybe curious enough to try!

I like this primer but really it's not a primer- it's a way to extend your foundation. I mix it half and half with my current foundation and apply it as a one topping then set with powder. It was almost an accident that I discovered this and it's a great way to use this product!

I love this! The L'Oreal Magic Lumi primer gives me a beautiful glow. I like wearing this alone, or mix it in with my foundation. I've also applied this to my face after foundation as a highlighter. It's perfect. I purchased 3 more with coupons to stock up love it!

This primer, I believe, should be sold as a highlighter rather than a primer. It is sort of a cool white color which makes your face look ghostly when used on the entire thing as a primer. (And I have extremely fair, cool toned skin, so if it would work for anyone, it would be me). That being said, it does illuminate your skin so it works great as a highlighter. I would suggest it as a highlighter for cool-toned skin but for warmer tones, you probably want to pass on this one.

L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer Review

As a teenager, I wasn’t even aware of what primer is, let alone how vital an element it is in achieving the best made-up look. But as I gradually learnt all there is to know about makeup, I realized that good quality skin products play a big role in determining how you look post primping up.

For those of you who are slightly unsure about its’ specific properties, let me help; primers are the base on which one should apply their makeup. They make skin soft and supple – ready for layering with several chemical products. The application and blending of foundation becomes easier as well and your makeup stays on longer too. Usually, a primer can serves multiple purposes and have either a moisturizing or illuminating effect, depending on what you choose.

Lately I have become a fan of illuminating primers and keep on trying different products and brands. Illuminating primers basically add a natural sheen to your skin and give it a dewy consistency without the use of an illuminator. I prefer using an illuminating primer more for day time makeup or when I am indoors (where there is low natural light and using shimmers gives a shallow finish).

So I bought the L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer to try on and shall be reviewing it today.

The brand claims that its Paris Lumi Magique Primer is a light, replenishing base which illuminates the skin. It may be used as a base or separately too – a fresh, light and silky soft formula that provides 8 hours of hydration.

The product comes in a slim white bottle with a small pump on top. You don’t really need a lot of it for full coverage. The primer looks like a white pearlescent, creamy liquid with some very tiny specks of shimmer in it.

I prefer to use it as a makeup base before applying foundation. It gives my skin a dewy, hydrated finish without looking too heavy or made-up. (above is a pic of mine wearing the primer under foundation) You can also use it as a highlighter over your cheeks or brow bone and even apply it on your face without foundation for a more sun kissed, dewy look.

I have personally found that it does what it claims; a great product for dry and dull skin

Pros:
– Gorgeous highlighting effect
-Can be used in a variety of ways
-Helps foundation glide on easily
-Flattering on all skin tones
-Very long lasting dewy finish

Cons:
-Never sure how much is left since the bottle is opaque
