Changelogs

Version 1

Rigmor of Bruma introduces the Dragonborn to a massive story filled with characters, events, emotions and unique objects tied deeply to Rigmor's past and present. One of such objects is her Daedric Amulet of Talos that you eventually receive as a gift; an amulet that is tied so deeply to her past that it leads her to the future and her Guardian.

The original Daedric Amulet of Talos was essentially just a copy of The Gauldur Amulet earned from the extensive quest Forbidden Legend; a powerful amulet but not one tuned to the lore that Rigmor of Bruma introduced. This standalone edit was created to give this unique lore crammed amulet an equally unique reboot made to fit the extensive lore created around it; every edit was made to fit the backstory surrounding the amulet from the even the moment before it was forged.

Spoiler: Show

the amulet being essentially a melted down set of Daedric armor of which a chest piece alone is valued at 3,200. The enchanting, heirloom status and craftsmanship adds even further value atop the metal properties.

Spoiler: Show

the amulet being a smelted down Daedric piece of armor which is considered to be one of the heaviest armor sets possible to craft. Despite being melted down the amulet would still retain more weight than any vanilla piece of jewelry therefore making it the heaviest amulet in the game.

Spoiler: Show

being made of one of the toughest metals in Elder Scrolls lore and the light typing due to the size of object it is.

Spoiler: Show

the original owner of the set of Daedric armor being Rigmor of Cyrodiil, a former mercenary who joined the services of Titus Mede I; forever changing the future of her family tree. It would make sense that at the core of the amulet the spirit or will of Rigmor of Cyrodiil protects her family and those who seek to do the same by covering them in the "Armor of Rigmor".

Spoiler: Show

the type of work Rigmor of Cyrodiil undertook with the original Daedric armor. As a mercenary foremost and then a member of Titus Mede's army that took control of the Imperial City after the Oblivion Crisis she had to be exceptionally strong to own such rare armor let alone use it in combat for such a long period. More than likely a health enchant would have been a great benefit and commonly obtainable with the existence of the Mages Guild and mercenary contacts she would have had at that time period 200 years ago. The enchant would have been passed down into the amulet during the time it was being melted down.

Spoiler: Show

the one forging the amulet being Morgan of Cyrodiil; a Court Mage to the Ruby Throne. She would have further enchanted the heirloom armor set when smelting it down and reshaping it; the benefits of having higher vitality and energy would have aided her greatly in her duties.

Spoiler: Show

the fact that Morgan choose to smelt down the Daedric armor into the shape and symbol of Talos; a decision that must have had large significance to her and also to the current Rigmor of Bruma who you protect. An amulet with that much symbolism would have certainly been blessed by Talos, especially after surviving for hundreds of years and being passed down and lost and then found again generations later.

A massive Thank You to Rigmor for allowing me to fine tune this unique and amazing amulet!

The player must speak to various NPCs and gather evidence to uncover the truth behind the murder. Eventually, the player will discover that Margret was killed by the Forsworn, a group of rebels who are fighting against the rule of the Empire in Skyrim. The player will also learn about a conspiracy involving the Forsworn and the Silver-Blood family, who are the rulers of Markarth.

Amulet of talos quest item

As the player progresses through the quest, they will come across a cell called "Cidhna Mine". Inside the mine, the player will find a prisoner named Braig, who is a member of the Forsworn. If the player chooses to help him, he will give them the key to his cell and ask them to find his amulet of Talos. The amulet of Talos can be found in one of the cells in the mine. Once the player has obtained the amulet, they can return it to Braig and complete the quest. As a reward, Braig will give the player a leveled amount of gold. Overall, the amulet of Talos is a valuable quest item in Skyrim that can be obtained through "The Forsworn Conspiracy" quest. It is a powerful artifact that grants the wearer increased shout recovery time, making it a valuable asset in the game..

Reviews for "How to Use the Amulet of Talos to Your Advantage in Skyrim"

1. John - 1 star - The Amulet of Talos quest item is a complete waste of time. Not only is the quest itself tedious and unexciting, but the reward is completely underwhelming. The amulet doesn't offer any substantial benefits or interesting gameplay mechanics. It's just a generic accessory with no real purpose. I was expecting something unique and powerful, but I was sorely disappointed. Overall, I would not recommend bothering with this quest or item.
2. Sarah - 2 stars - The Amulet of Talos quest item is a missed opportunity in my opinion. The quest itself is decently engaging, requiring you to explore and complete certain tasks. However, the amulet itself is lackluster. It grants a minor reduction in shout cooldown, which I found to be hardly noticeable during gameplay. Considering the efforts put into completing the quest, I was hoping for a more substantial reward. It's certainly not a terrible item, but it's far from being worth the effort.
3. Alex - 1 star - I found the Amulet of Talos quest item to be utterly disappointing. The quest itself is downright boring, consisting mostly of uninspiring fetch quests and mindless combat. The amulet's supposed benefit of reducing shout cooldown is practically useless. I barely noticed any difference in gameplay, and there are much better accessories available that offer superior bonuses and enhancements. Don't waste your time on this lackluster quest and item.
4. Emily - 2 stars - The Amulet of Talos quest item falls short of expectations. While the quest is relatively straightforward, the amulet's ability to reduce shout cooldown is quite underwhelming. If you're not heavily reliant on shouts in your playstyle, this item becomes almost useless. Furthermore, the amulet's appearance is rather plain and doesn't stand out among other accessories in the game. Overall, it's a mediocre quest item that doesn't offer much value or excitement.
