The dancers twirl and spin, their bodies moving like ribbons in the wind, as if trying to imitate the arcs of a rainbow dancing across the sky. Each dancer represents a different color of the rainbow, and as they move across the stage, they come together, interweaving their movements to form a breathtaking display of unity and harmony. The audience is captivated by this kaleidoscope of colors and the ethereal atmosphere created by the dancers.
MJC Logos
Modesto Junior College strives to build a “branded look” for the institution’s publications, website, advertising, posters, flyers and other materials. A vital part of this branding is consistent use of the official college logo in publications, printed materials and website. It is also important to preserve the dimensions and integrity of the logo while abiding by the graphic standards that guide colors and minimum size for the college logo.
The MJC community is urged to access and use the official “swish logo” on all college materials - particularly anything that will be viewed outside of a classroom or off campus. The MJC logo may be displayed in black or reflex blue. On official documents or for official occasions, such as the Commencement Ceremony or Faculty Tenure Recognition Ceremony, the college seal may be used in place of the MJC logo, or the college logo may be used in gold or silver ink or silver, gold or blue foil with prior approval of the MJC Public Relations office.
The MJC logo is not to be manipulated in any way. (In most software programs when sizing the logo, hold down the shift key to keep the logo proportionately correct. The logo should always be at least 1.5 inches or larger in width. Exceptions are: 1) when a secondary/repeat logo is used in the same publication, or 2) If it is physically impossible to fit a 1.5 inch wide logo, such as on a pen or other small promotional item, in which case we recommend considering replacing use of the logo with the college's full name in simple text. (Logos smaller than 1.5 inches are extremely hard to read.)
The MJC logo should be used alone and prominently on all college materials that are to be used outside the classroom. Official college divisions and departments are allowed to request the addition/incorporation of their department/division name to the official logo for use on letterhead, envelopes, and marketing and promotional materials. An MJC logo with the division or department name incorporated must be prepared by the Public Relations Office so that it meets the college's graphic standards. A request for a department/division logo may be made using the Design Request Form.

MJC presents Puente Project!
Facilitating a bridge for students between MJC and four-year universities by creating a sense of familia, Puente is designed to guide students in earning degrees, transferring to four-year colleges and universities, and creating leaders and mentors for their communities and future generations. MJC Puente Project is a program designed to aid underserved and underrepresented students in achieving academic success. This is obtained through an interdisciplinary program, known as the Puente Model, which includes Academic Counseling, English courses, and mentoring by community leaders.
MJC Earns STARS Rating for Sustainable Practices
Modesto Junior College was recognized with a Bronze ranking in STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System) of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, showcasing our commitment to sustainability and efficiency. Modesto Junior College is the only community college in California to have a current STARS award of any rank. This STARS ranking is a testament to the collective efforts of MJC toward creating a more efficient and effective campus and reflects a collective dedication to incorporating sustainable practices in various aspects of our work, including academics, engagement, operations, and planning. Cram Night Fall 2023: Dec. 7th, East Campus Library & Learning Center
The Office of Campus Life & Student Learning and ASMJC has partnered with the Library and Learning Center and the School of Agriculture to once again bring back Cram Night. Study with the help of professors & tutors, grab a bit to eat, learn test-taking strategies, get free testing materials, and visit with furry friends provided by MJC's School of Agriculture.

The MJC Library & Learning Center invites students to join in discussion and Q & A session with leading professionals in our community. December 6 presenter Gisele Flores is a Professor of Child Development and the current President of the Academic Senate at Modesto Junior College. As a first-generation college graduate and former teen mother, her mission is to create an educational environment where students know that they belong and are provided with the tools to overcome any barriers life presents. Lunch will be provided.

As the final curtain falls, the audience erupts into applause, standing in ovation for the dancers who have brought the magic of rainbows to life. They leave the theater, filled with a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for the diversity that exists in the world, and the power of unity to create something truly extraordinary..

1. Jane - 1-star rating - I found "A ballet filled with the magic of rainbows" to be a total disappointment. The title had me excited for a visually stunning performance, but it fell short in every aspect. The choreography was lackluster, the dancers seemed unenthusiastic, and the storyline was confusing. The supposed magic of rainbows was nowhere to be found. I left the theater feeling unsatisfied and wishing I hadn't wasted my time and money on this show.
2. Mark - 2-star rating - "A ballet filled with the magic of rainbows" had the potential to be a beautiful and enchanting performance, but it missed the mark for me. The costumes and set design were visually appealing, but the execution of the dance moves seemed messy and imprecise. The storyline was unclear, and the transitions between scenes were awkward and abrupt. Overall, the ballet felt disjointed and failed to capture the magic it promised. I was left feeling underwhelmed and wishing for a more cohesive and captivating experience.
3. Sarah - 2-star rating - While "A ballet filled with the magic of rainbows" had its moments of beauty, I found it to be underwhelming and lacking in substance. The dancers displayed moments of skill and grace, but overall, the choreography felt repetitive and uninspired. The storyline was confusing and failed to hold my attention. The music, although pleasant, did not enhance the performance. I was hoping for a more enchanting and captivating ballet, but unfortunately, this one fell flat for me.
4. Michael - 1-star rating - I was highly disappointed with "A ballet filled with the magic of rainbows." The production seemed amateurish and unpolished. The dancers lacked synchronization and precision in their movements, making it difficult to immerse myself in the performance. The storyline was convoluted and hard to follow, leaving me feeling confused and disconnected. The overall lack of magic and enchantment made this ballet a disappointing experience that I would not recommend.
5. Emily - 2-star rating - I had high expectations for "A ballet filled with the magic of rainbows," but unfortunately, it didn't meet them. The choreography was repetitive and unexciting, lacking the creativity and originality I had hoped for. The dancers appeared unenthusiastic and didn't fully embody the characters they were portraying. The set design and costumes were visually appealing, but that was not enough to salvage the overall mediocrity of the performance. I left the theater feeling unimpressed and wishing for a more engaging and magical ballet experience.
