Wicca is a modern pagan, witchcraft religion that emerged in the mid-20th century. It is a nature-based spiritual practice that worships and reveres the Earth and its cycles. The term "Wicca" was coined by Gerald Gardner, who is often referred to as the founder of the religion. Wiccans believe in a dualistic approach to the divine, recognizing both a God and a Goddess. There is no central authority or hierarchy in Wicca, with individual practitioners having the freedom to interpret and practice the religion in their own way. Many Wiccans observe the Wheel of the Year, which consists of eight Sabbats or seasonal festivals, including Samhain, Beltane, and Imbolc.
