Master of Magic is a 4X turn-based strategy game developed by Simtex and published by MicroProse. It was released in 1994 for MS-DOS and gained a cult following for its addictive gameplay and rich fantasy world. In the game, players take on the role of a wizard seeking to become the Master of Magic by conquering the land of Ardania. The game features two main modes of play: the strategic overworld map and the tactical combat mode. On the overworld map, players can explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate as they build up their empire and seek to conquer their rivals.
