The location was good and the condo was nice except we got very little sleep because you can hear the waves crashing 24/7. Other units have sound proof sliding doors so you can't hear the waves breaking on the rocks.

Kona Magic Sands#213 is a DIRECT oceanfront, 2nd floor condo that is meticulously maintained, beautifully furnished, and has absolutely anything any guest could dream of.
Wifi, beach gear, linens, dishes you name it, the condo has it!

This 2nd floor condo has such a beautiful view! Wake up to the ocean, hear the waves. Great whale watching during the winter months!
Immediately upon walking in, you'll notice a well appointed mini kitchen that has a stove, sink, fridge and fully stocked with dishes. The bathroom has a walk in shower for you.

In the living area, there's a sitting area if you want to get some R&R watching TV. There's a small dining area as well by the Queen Sized Bed. This is an incredible option for 1 or 2 people looking to be direct beach front.

Kona Magic Sands is the only beachfront condominium complex in Kona. Enjoy an oceanfront pool there as well! There's a restaurant on site called Magics Grill as well!
Laundry use is available in the complex, which is a shared common area.

Great location

Place was in a great location. Doors opened to the ocean and right next to Magic Sands Beach. Close to plenty of restaurants in Kona that were a quick drive.

Perfect Studio by the Sea

The building is older and the floor slopes where it seems they made the lanai into a bed nook. Perfect sunsets and rainbows, crashing waves. There's a snorkeling beach next door and better one a couple of miles away. Very fully furnished kitchen. TKA Grocery store nearby with very fresh poke and produce. Snorkel gear, beach chair and umbrella were very useful. Would definitely stay here again.

Great spot to stay

The room was good as expected from the pictures etc. You can watch some amazing sunsets from the window.
It's also right by the Magic Grill, for which you get a 10% discount of food with your room key. They did great food and drink, which you can consume looking out over the beach/sea.
Nothing else walking distance, but it's only a 10 minute drive/taxi to Kailua Kona.
If you stay in for an evening there's a very basic kitchen and a modern TV so you can login to any major service like netflix, etc.
Be aware the windows aren't very soundproof, so the sea is quite loud at night. If that's not your thing, definitely bring earplugs.

Waterfront bedroom

Beach acres directly next door, restaurant in premises, outside snack shack, closest you will ever sleep on the beach and listen to the waves !!

Wonderful view, but.

This condo has probably the best view of any place we've stayed in. It was awesome to see spinner dolphins jumping and yellow tangs coming in on the surf in the morning--and right underneath us! Sunsets were magnificent and there was no need for us to go out to a view place for drinks. We bought ingredients for our drinks and enjoyed the view from our room. On the other hand, the condo could use some major updates. First, the bed (a small one for two people) sits on what used to be the balcony and the floor tips, thus making the bed tilt to the right side. One of us used the hide-a-bed, which felt, well, like a hide-a-bed with about 30 years of wear. Second, there is no air conditioning. We were there in February, and even then it was warm and stuffy without the windows open. There are louvered windows above the door and in the bathroom to let in air. Unfortunately, they also let in noise (even when closed). And noise there was! The condo fronts on a main 2-lane street and seems to be a thoroughfare for trucks and "hot cars" with no mufflers. Many are headed to next-door Magic Sands Beach, which is popular with surfers, b. boarders and people who want to loudly socialize day and night. In the early morning the landscape people start their blowers (right after 7 am). There is a restaurant with decent food and a beach bar next-door as well. Note there are three stories and no elevators. Recommended, but only for the view!

1. Sarah - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Kona Magic Sands 314". The condo was not in great condition, with outdated furniture and appliances. The cleanliness was also subpar, as we found dirt and dust in several areas. The noise level was unbearable, as the condo is right next to a busy road, and we could hear traffic throughout the day and night. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay at all and would not recommend this place.

2. John - 1/5 stars - Our experience at "Kona Magic Sands 314" was extremely unpleasant. The condo had a moldy smell that was overpowering throughout our stay. The shower water had a weird odor and the water pressure was low. On top of that, the Wi-Fi did not work properly, and we had to rely on our own mobile data for internet access. The parking situation was also troublesome, as it was limited and we had to park several blocks away from the condo. Overall, I would not recommend staying here due to the various issues we encountered.

3. Lisa - 2/5 stars - "Kona Magic Sands 314" did not live up to our expectations. The advertised amenities, such as the swimming pool and BBQ area, were not well-maintained and seemed neglected. The condo itself was dated and could use some renovations. The noise from the neighboring units was quite bothersome, as we could hear conversations and footsteps coming from all directions. The location was convenient, but that was probably the only positive aspect of our stay. I would not choose to stay here again.

4. Mike - 2/5 stars - I was underwhelmed with my experience at "Kona Magic Sands 314". The cleanliness of the condo was questionable, with dirty floors and a musty smell. The kitchen lacked basic utensils and cookware, making it difficult to prepare meals. The noise level from the nearby beach park was also a nuisance, as there were loud crowds and music playing late into the night. The communication with the property management was not satisfactory either, as they were slow to respond to our requests. I would not recommend this place for a comfortable stay.
