One of the reasons I love my mother-in-law is that she always throws good holiday parties. Halloween Spooktaculars are never forgotten, and she goes all out! This year will be our second time doing a murder mystery dinner party with her. The first year was Harry Potter themed, and Spencer and I were given Severus Snape and Bellatrix Lestrange as our dinner party characters. Each guest was dressed as a different fictional person and had a part in a role-play dinner to figure out who the “murderer” was. We had a blast dressing up in these couples costumes, and even included dark mark tattoos and wands!

Last year, Halloween 2020, I went a little crazy creating various Disney villain costumes! One of the last-minute versions was a couples costume with my husband featuring Yzma and Pacha from The Emperor’s New Groove. Although the feather eyelashes had to be bought in advance, they truly made the costume. However, add some wrinkles with makeup, a little black dress, a poncho, and you can make this getup work in a pinch for a Halloween party!

Yet another one of our do-it-yourself cosplays, we went as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy one year. If you’re okay with scissors and construction paper, this costume will be a piece of cake to put together! We bought gloves to match the SpongeBob characters, but other than that, most of the items we had at our apartment ready to craft. We tried taking a photo with the Invisible Boatmobile, but it was wasn’t showing up in the pictures!

As mentioned before, I am practically the Queen of last-minute Halloween costumes! It’s really not unusual to find me throwing together an outfit the day of an event. I must have lucked out, because
I married a man that happened to come with a gorilla costume. I found some black and green striped tights that were extra witchy, and the rest is history! My Flying Monkey partner and I rode around on a four-wheeler (typical Utah stuff) while I laughed manically like the Wicked Witch of the West at trick-or-treaters.

I was really disappointed with the Witch couple outfit I purchased. The size was completely off and it didn't fit either me or my partner properly. The material used was cheap and it felt like it would tear at any moment. Additionally, the design was lackluster and not as vibrant as shown in the picture. I regretted spending my money on this outfit and would not recommend it to anyone.

I had high hopes for the Witch couple outfit, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The stitching was sloppy and some parts were even coming apart when I received it. The costume was uncomfortable to wear and didn't look as impressive as it did online. The overall quality was subpar and it definitely wasn't worth the price. I was disappointed and won't be purchasing from this brand again.

I wish I could give the Witch couple outfit zero stars. The fabric used was incredibly scratchy and uncomfortable against the skin. The costume had a weird chemical smell that didn't go away even after washing it. The fit was also completely off, and it looked awkward on both me and my partner. I would strongly advise against buying this outfit, as it was a waste of money and a total letdown.
