The crappiest witch fanfiction I have ever come across was a mishmash of cliches, poorly constructed plotlines, and unimaginative characters. It was evident that the writer had little understanding of the original story's world and lore, as they constantly made mistakes in canon facts and ignored established rules of magic. Moreover, the dialogue was stilted and unrealistic, with characters speaking in overly dramatic and cheesy lines that made me cringe. From the very beginning, I could tell that the writer had an unhealthy obsession with shipping and had created several forced romantic relationships between characters that had no chemistry or logical basis. It seemed like they were more interested in catering to their own fantasies rather than staying true to the source material and creating a compelling narrative. The love triangle that was central to the story was particularly frustrating, as it overshadowed any other potential plotlines and became the sole focus of the fanfiction.

Unlike the above though, their Season 3 is, as far as this troper is aware, an original story, rather than an adaptation of the comic, and features several supporting characters getting a larger role alongside the regular main characters. This Season 3 also has a side story and a series of eight shorter, sequel stories that eventually lead into a crossover with the author's other fan-fiction series (based around Final Fantasy 7), which also crosses over with many other works.
Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.
