1. Maria - 2 stars - I was really excited to introduce my child to the Magic Tree House series in Spanish, but I was disappointed with the translations. The writing felt clunky and awkward, and it often lost the charm and magic of the original English version. The characters didn't feel as relatable, and my child struggled to engage with the story. I wish the Spanish versions were more faithful to the original text.
2. Roberto - 1 star - The Spanish versions of the Magic Tree House series were a huge letdown. The language used was overly formal and unnatural, making it difficult for my child to connect with the story. The translations lacked the fluidity and whimsy of the English originals, and it felt like the essence of the books was lost in the process.
