To unlock the Ali Morrisane rune shop in RuneScape, you need to complete the mini-quest called "The Feud." This quest is available to members only and requires a combat level of at least 30. To begin the quest, go to the city of Pollnivneach and talk to Ali Morrisane, who can be found in the market square. He will ask for your help in stopping the feud between two rival gangs, the Menaphites and the Bandits. The first task is to visit the gang leaders, Ali the Mayor and Ali the Operator. They are both located in different parts of the city.

You have to help him by traveling to three different people around RuneScape and persuading them to let Ali buy some of there stock, to sell from his location.

Requirements:
Must have completed the Rune Mysteries Quest

Items Needed: None, but teleport runes to Varrock and Ring of Dueling or Amulet of Glory are recommended.

Reward: Ability to solve Sudoku puzzles to purchase runes from Ali Morrisane's caskets at a discount.

Start Point: Al Kharid, a little south of the Dueling Arena.

To Start: Speak to Ali Morrisane.

He will ask you to speak with Aubury in Varrock about a runes business deal. Head to Varrock's rune shop and talk to Aubury. He will agree to Ali Morrisane's business proposition.

Part 2 - Blackjacks

Description: This part of the game takes place from Ali's stall in the Al Kharid desert and to the Blackjack seller in Pollinivneach.

Items Needed: Some Shantay Passes, about 2000 coins will do (for flying transportation and paying urchin), Ring of Dueling or Amulet of glory (Recommended).

Requirements:
Must have completed The Feud Quest

Reward: The ability to purchase a new range of blackjacks from Ali Morrisane, as well as 100gp for travel on Flying Carpets instead of 200gp.

Start Point: Al Kharid, a little south of the Dueling Arena.

To Start: Speak to Ali Morrisane.

Ali wants to get into the Blackjack business. He will mention someone in Pollnivneach and want you to go there.

Talk to him. Ask him about agreeing to being business partners with Ali. He'll agree. Go back to Ali and talk to him. Nice work, Ali now sells some blackjacks.

The Urchin will steal a blackjack and then the Seller will get angry and whack the Urchin. But the Urchin is still fine. You suggest that you need to make a product with better defense properties. He agrees and will supply Ali. You now have (d) blackjacks.

Talk to him. Ask him about agreeing to being business partners with Ali. He'll agree. Go back to Ali and talk to him. Nice work, Ali now sells some blackjacks.

Part 3 - Clothing

Description: This part of the game takes place from Ali's stall in the Al Kharid desert and to Siamun's Clothes Shop in Sophanem.

Items Needed: 3 Dyes of the same color (Recommended) OR 3 Cowhides OR 3 Snake Skins OR 3 Wolf Fur OR 3 Sheep Shearings (wool), Some Shantay Passes, about 2000 coins will do (for flying transportation), Ring of Dueling or Amulet of Glory (Recommended).

Requirements:
Must have completed the Icthlarin's Little Helper Quest

Reward: The ability to purchase a new range of clothing from Ali Morrisane, as well as 100gp for travel on Flying Carpets instead of 200gp.

Start Point: Al Kharid, a little south of the Dueling Arena.

To Start: Speak to Ali Morrisane.

Talk to Ali Morrisane, he will ask you to travel to Sophanem and talk to Siamun, travel to Sophanem via Flying Carpets(quickest way) and talk to Siamun who is located with the spinning wheel on the north east side of the city.

Note: By doing steps 5 and 6, you don't get the first shop, you get the second shop, you can repeat steps 5 and 6 as many times as you want to change between the 2 clothes shops.

This is the shop stock for the Clothes:

The clothes are the same as the ones worn by the two gangs in Pollnivneach. They cost the exact same price and give off a new type of world fashion! The second set is a weird new desert travel gear.

For those that do not know, Ali Morrisane is an NPC trader in the north of Al Kharid.

He offers several services, including selling blackjacks, selling clothes, selling general stock, as well as having a selection of runes on offer both in the form of a shop and a Runedoku (Sudoku with runes) game.

However, there a few issues I have with Ali Morrisane.

The Problems

1. As it stands, to access each of these features, you need to go through dialogue. This is not to the same feel as the rest of the game.

2. The Runedoku game is fairly unrewarding. It's a nice little D&D, but given it's only available once a day means the payout is minimal.

3. The Runedoku game is built on antiquated code and misclicks will make you leave the game and you lose all progress. Even if you click on the area between the tiles, the window will close even though the click was within the window boundaries.

1. Add right-click features to Ali Morrisane that takes you directly to the store. This store should have all of his wares in one shop. Another right-click feature should take you to the Runedoku game.

2. Increase the rune rewards available from the game. Perhaps add a system that allows players to unlock higher tiers of rewards with more Runedokus completed. As this is a puzzle based D&D, I don't think it would be fair adding this to any completionist requirements however.

3. Improve the UI (or just rebuild the game from scratch). As Sudoku is very popular, and increasingly so since the lockdown (shout out to Cracking the Cryptic for helping the popularisation), I feel like this would be time well spent. It also feels like a fairly simple rework, so perhaps this could be a side-project for a Jmod with vested interest in the matter.

They are both located in different parts of the city. Speak to them and gather information about the feud. Next, you will need to investigate the houses of two important figures, Hassan and Leela.

These houses can be found on the northwest and southwest sides of town, respectively. Search both houses for clues and take note of any items or information you find. After gathering enough evidence, return to Ali Morrisane and present him with your findings. He will give you a new task to infiltrate the gang hideout and retrieve a special diamond. This diamond can be found in the southwest room of the building in the southeastern part of the city. Once you have the diamond, return it to Ali Morrisane. He will now trust you and unlock his rune shop, allowing you to purchase various runes and rune-related items. In addition to unlocking the rune shop, completing "The Feud" quest also rewards you with experience points, gold coins, and other valuable items. It is a worthwhile quest for players looking to expand their RuneScape gameplay options and enhance their character's abilities..
