It feels stable when tied into the main bed frame which puts our mind at rest as out main fear was the little one moving the cot and falling through the gap.

Chicco Next 2 Me Magic - tilting

Has anyone had an issue with the Next2Me Magic tilting to one side? We bought a second hand one in excellent condition over the summer but only used it for a couple of weeks as I found it was tilting a little to one side and making our little girl roll slightly. I’m not sure if it’s a case that we’ve just put it together incorrectly or if it’s faulty.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks a mil!

Yeah we bought one new in 2019 and found the same. Quite annoying.

I find that even with the normal next 2 me. have had to even it out by putting a folded blanket under the mattress.

So I had the exact same issue and it drove me mad - next to me tilted slightly towards our bed making baba roll towards our bed. (Just to be clear mine is Next to Me Magic 2, purchased in 2022.) Eventually after googling loads I found a discussion thread where people were talking about this and suggested a fix. And it worked. The reason it tilts is that it has been put together incorrectly or rather one particular step has been done incorrectly. On each side underneath the crib there is a bar running down the side with a “claw” (crib structure side uprights I think they are called in the instructions) - this claw clips on to a central support bar that goes across all the way under the crib to stop the crib from rocking. If the “claws” are facing the wrong way you will have a tilt. Basically the open part of the claw should be facing towards the parents bed/towards the centre of the crib. If the open part of the claw is facing outward/away from parents bed you will have the tilt. Correct this issue to face the claw the correct way and you will fix the tilt. See attached pic which shows the correct way for the claw to face. Hope this helps coz it used drive me mad!

The crib is also lightweight and you can gently rock it, which is great for getting my daughter to sleep. Would you choose this product to win? Although I love this crib, I think that the quality of the materials is not as good as in other products I have seen. It feels a little flimsy and not very durable. Therefore, I probably would not choose it to win over all others. What changes would you make to this product? I would like it to have a detachable basket, like some of the other cribs on the market, so you could use it around the house, for daytime naps for example.
